Baku Water Park Fuerteventura

The Baku Water Park is a great fun day out for all the family! It is not just a water park as it has evolved into something that little bit more!

Now containing an Animal Experience in the price, it is a good day out, so get there early!

Combined with shows and interactive activities that include swimming with the sea lions and swimming with sharks! A visit to the Baku Water Park could just make your visit to Fuerteventura just one of those unforgettable holidays.

There is also an artificial Rock mountain for climbers of all experiences. A mini golf for all members of the family and a kiddies entertainment area.

Please remember this is not a promotional blurb for the water park it is quite simply a recollection of a day out I had with the family.

This way you can make an a decision whether to visit or not. I simply believe that if the website contains information about activities to do whilst on holiday then you know we have done our homework on the Island of Fuerteventura and not just in the Luxury Apartment that we provide to the highest possible standard.

We arrived at the Water Park at 11.30 hrs to find the prices to be neither cheap or that expensive for what we received.

They also do a 7 day pass that is well worth checking out

In passed years it has been noted that the Water Park closes during the winter period, November to March. During the 2008 to 2009 Winter period the park is staying open 5 days a week with the opening hours of 10:30 to 14:30, closing only on a Wednesday and Thursday.

To see the Baku Water park prices I have placed a picture above although this is the prices in 2008 it gives you a rough idea...

We spent a whole day in the water park taking the Animal experience in duringBaku Water Park Large Slide our time there. This was a nice respite from the sun for a couple of hours!

Having spent a couple of hours splashing about in the pools and slides we decided to have a bite to eat next to the Sea lion area. We had a great meal and was surprised that the prices did not seem that much inflated like they are in so many theme parks in the UK and around the world!Fuerteventura Goats in the Baku Animal Experience

After our eats we then wandered around to see what was on offer? We found that there was the option to "swim with sharks", not my cup of tea!! Although this was an "extra" and you have to show your PADI certificate or do a small course on site, those that I spoke to that had done it said they had a great time and were well impressed with what they did!!

Another extra is "swimming with the Sea Lions". This is also bookable but you get to swim touch and play with the Sea lions there was a lot of happy faces on those that chose this extra.

The Baku Animal Experience FuerteventuraBaku Water Park FuerteventuraWe continued to walk around the Animal centre and had the chance to see a Pirate show on the Galleon and those very clever Parrots strutting there stuff! Other animals on offer are our world famous Goats, the endangered Burro Majorero, only 200 living now a days (Spanish Donkey), the large Aquariums (so you can watch the brave souls swimming with Sharks!!). There are many reptiles including Geckos (some quite large) and snakes thankfully behind glass!

After our wander around the Animal experience it was back to the water park area for a cool down and a splash about on the slides.

In Summary

It was decided that it was a great day out and we were glad that we chose a day that had a cooling breeze. It was nice to have something extra to do other than just play around on the slides or sun bathe in the basking sun! I personally think the cost was not expensive considering there are two theme parks in one! We all know how sometimes the kids are difficult to please? And how many times do we hear that well known phrase "Mum were bored!!). Well The Baku Water Park / Euro Animal Experience is a great venue and can definitely can be called a "Family Park" and erase the boredom from any Holiday!

Note dated September 2012...  The Baku Water Park is still open from April to 1st week of November but unfortunately the Animal experience as described above has closed. There is hope that it may re-open but we will have to wait and see. You can still have a a great time at the Baku water park in Corralejo...
