We spent a whole day in the water park taking the Animal
experience in during our time there. This was a nice respite from the
sun for a couple of hours!
Having spent a couple of hours
splashing about in the pools and slides we decided to have a bite to eat
next to the Sea lion area. We had a great meal and was surprised that
the prices did not seem that much inflated like they are in so many
theme parks in the UK and around the world!
After our eats we then wandered around
to see what was on offer? We found that there was the option to "swim
with sharks", not my cup of tea!! Although this was an "extra" and you
have to show your PADI certificate or do a small course on site, those that
I spoke to that had done it said they had a great time and were well
impressed with what they did!!
Another extra is "swimming with the
Sea Lions". This is also bookable but you get to swim touch and play
with the Sea lions there was a lot of happy faces on those that chose
this extra.
We continued to walk around the Animal
centre and had the chance to see a Pirate show on the Galleon and those
very clever Parrots strutting there stuff! Other animals on offer are
our world
famous Goats, the endangered Burro Majorero, only 200 living now
a days
(Spanish Donkey),
the large Aquariums (so you can watch the brave souls swimming with
Sharks!!). There are many reptiles including Geckos (some quite large)
and snakes thankfully behind glass!
After our wander around the Animal
experience it was back to the water park area for a cool down and a
splash about on the slides.
In Summary
It was decided that it was a great day
out
and we were glad that we chose a day that had a cooling breeze. It was
nice to have something extra to do other than just play around on the
slides or sun bathe in the basking sun! I personally think the cost was
not expensive considering there are two theme parks in one! We all know
how sometimes the kids are difficult to please? And how many times do we
hear that well known phrase "Mum were bored!!). Well The Baku Water Park
/ Euro Animal Experience is a great venue and can definitely can be
called a "Family Park" and erase the boredom from any Holiday!
Note dated September 2012... The
Baku Water Park is still open from April to 1st week of November
but unfortunately the Animal experience as described above has
closed. There is hope that it may re-open but we will have to
wait and see. You can still have a a great time at the Baku
water park in Corralejo... |
